The exhausted facilitator’s secret – Why your busy mind blocks breakthrough moments
To access the intuitive level within your groups, you must first awaken your awareness of your intuition. But here’s the challenge: intuition is quiet and nearly impossible to hear when we’re trapped in our thinking brain.

When I started learning to be a whole-person facilitator 15 years ago, I was completely controlling the agenda from my head. It exhausted me, needing to know exactly what would happen in every group meeting I facilitated. My mind was so busy planning and controlling that I couldn’t hear my own intuitive clues, and I didn’t see them in the group before me.
I was missing the very signals that could guide me toward what the group actually needed.

Why control kills connection
The harder I gripped the agenda, the more disconnected I became from the group’s real energy and needs. I was facilitating from fear, not wisdom. Practising intuitive methodologies in decision-making can overcome cultural barriers, but only when we trust the process ourselves.

Learning to trust the unknown
I had to learn to trust, to become present, and to still my mind. Only then could I connect to what was happening in the group and make intuitive interventions. When I began to hear my intuitive voice and trust my inner resources, everything changed. I became calmer, more confident, and could facilitate within the unknown, working with the emerging future rather than forcing predetermined outcomes.

You don’t need to know everything that’s going to happen. Sometimes the most powerful facilitation comes from trusting what wants to emerge.
